            History

How Rancho Maderas Apartments was built

Rancho Maderas sits on Heritage Way, a few minutes from the Tustin Market Place and the golf club, with a little under three hundred homes on fifteen acres.

It belongs to a family of apartment communities raised across Tustin Ranch under the Irvine Company's plan and given Spanish ranch names: Alisal, Maderas, Mariposa, Monterey, Santa Fe, Tierra and Veracruz. Maderas means timber or wood. The naming was consistent because the developer was, and because the ground really had been a ranch.
