About Glenwood Terrace
Glenwood Terrace covers 33.9 acres, the sixth largest of the fifty Aliso Viejo communities on this site, and holds 187 addresses across 197 mapped parcels, more lots than addresses. How Glenwood Terrace was built
Glenwood Terrace keeps the Glenwood habit of naming every street after something that grows or somewhere green: Amber, Birchmont, Briarglenn, Cedarbrook, Coralwind, Lynoak, Parkwood, Spicewood and Windflower. Nine streets, 187 homes, 33.9 acres, three and four bedroom houses of roughly 1,400 to 2,100 square feet with vaulted ceilings and back yards.
It is part of the Glenwood village that grew around the Aliso Viejo Country Club, most of it built through the late 1980s and the 1990s, with the twenty seven hole Jack Nicklaus course opening in 1999. Before any of that the ground was Rancho Niguel, 13,316 acres granted to Juan Avila in 1842 and named for the Acjachemen village of Niguili.
