Overview
About Eastbrook
Eastbrook covers 33.7 acres and records 213 addresses, all with unit designators, on four parcels. Ten streets run 1.4 miles inside the boundary and every one of them ends in the same word: Alderbrook, Castlebrook, Cloverbrook, Fairbrook, Fernbrook, Glenbrook, Hiddenbrook, Millbrook, Oakbrook and Pinebrook. Eastbrook Park sits inside the boundary at 21530 Eastbrook, 4.8 acres with a softball field, a playground for older children, four picnic tables, two barbecues and a walking trail.
The general plan carries 30.5 acres at 6.5 to 14 homes an acre and 3.1 acres as recreation and open space, and the whole boundary lies in flood zone X. Saddleback Valley Unified serves it, and the district assigns campuses through an address locator rather than a published boundary map, so confirm the campus for a specific address at svusd.org.

How Eastbrook was built
Eastbrook sits in the north of Mission Viejo on Alderbrook, between Alicia and Marguerite Parkways, two of the arterial roads the Mission Viejo Company laid out across the ranch in the 1960s to carry traffic through the valleys while homes went up on the hills above. Its 213 units were completed in 1985 near Youth Athletic Park, built in a Cape Cod style rather than the Spanish look common elsewhere in the city.
Eastbrook is close enough to walk to Florence Joyner Olympiad Park, which the city dedicated in 2000 to honor Mission Viejo's Olympians after the 1984 Los Angeles Games brought Olympic road cycling to the city's own streets. The neighborhood also carries access to Lake Mission Viejo, the private lake the Mission Viejo Company began building in 1974 and opened to members in 1978, a short drive from Eastbrook's own streets.
