How Park Ridge was built
Park Ridge was built in 1977 as a gated community of around 136 homes on 7.2 acres at 3000 Associated Road, in the rolling ground on the north east side of Fullerton. The homes are small and were built small on purpose: one and two bedroom plans running from under 700 square feet to about 850, with a pool and tennis courts as the shared compensation for the size.
It takes its name from what sits beside it. Craig Regional Park is immediately north, 124 acres of lake, woodland and playing fields, and the ridge is the rise the community stands on. Associated Road, its only address, runs the length of the city's north east edge and carries the whole community on a single street name.
