Overview
About Skylark
Skylark covers 2.2 acres on West La Habra Boulevard. The city's association register records 32 units and its address layer carries 34 addresses inside the boundary, 32 typed Condominium or Townhome and two as Building. The whole community sits on one parcel on the city parcel map, which is how attached ownership is filed here rather than one lot to each front door, and its 2.1 zoned acres fall under the La Habra Boulevard Specific Plan.
No public street runs inside the boundary and every address is written to West La Habra Boulevard. The Guadalupe Park Extension is 0.16 miles away and La Bonita Park 0.26 miles, 22.6 acres the city bought in 1957 and developed from 1960, now carrying four lighted baseball diamonds and a large open field. The community feeds Las Positas Elementary, Imperial Middle and La Habra High.

How Skylark was built
La Habra Boulevard was Central Avenue, and it is the oldest line through town. The old road between the missions ran near this corner, which is why the settlement grew here at all, and in 1988 the boulevard was dedicated the Boulevard of the Bells and hung with replica El Camino Real bells to mark the route.
Skylark is recent work on that boulevard. The 32 townhomes were laid out at the end of December 2016 on 2.2 acres the city's own land use record still carried as vacant, under the plan written to bring housing and shops together along this stretch of the road.
