Overview
About Volara Townhomes
Volara Townhomes covers 2.9 acres and the city's address record carries 58 addresses inside the boundary, matching the 58 units on the association register exactly, every one typed Condominium or Townhome. The addresses are written to six interior lanes, Knox Drive, Madison Lane, Andrew Lane, Derek Lane, Paige Lane and Reaghan Lane, while the only public centerline touching the boundary is East Electric Avenue.
All 2.9 zoned acres fall under Multi-Unit Dwelling and the general plan carries four lots as Residential Multi-Family 1, though the city's existing land use record still files three of the underlying lots as Industrial. Portola Park is 0.03 miles away, 10.08 acres developed in 1975 and the site of the children's museum, with the one acre Brio Park 0.08 miles and Richards Park 0.21 miles. The community feeds Las Lomas Elementary, Imperial Middle and Sonora High.

How Volara Townhomes was built
The Pacific Electric reached La Habra from Whittier in 1908, went on to Brea in 1910 and Yorba Linda in 1911, and carried mostly freight, with passenger service lasting until 1938. The road these townhomes open onto is East Electric Avenue.
Volara is 58 townhomes on 2.9 acres, and it replaced industrial ground. Three of the lots under it are still filed as industrial in the city's own land use record, and the one structure the county dates inside the boundary reads 1945. The six interior lanes, Knox, Madison, Andrew, Derek, Paige and Reaghan, are mostly given names rather than places.
