About Aliso Meadows
Aliso Meadows runs to 46.9 acres off Via Lomas, and the City of Laguna Hills counts 248 attached homes inside the boundary. The city files it within its wider Aliso Hills area, and the gate flag on the city's record reads no.
Fossil Reef Park sits inside the boundary, one of the few Laguna Hills parks the city places within a community rather than beside one. The city's parcel record carries just six parcels here, so the project is recorded in common rather than lot by lot. The Orange County Fire Authority places the boundary in evacuation zone LGH12, which covers 1,970 households, and Aliso Meadows lies inside Saddleback Valley Unified School District, whose campuses inside the Laguna Hills city limit are Valencia, Lomarena and San Joaquin elementaries and Laguna Hills High.

How Aliso Meadows was built
The ground under Aliso Meadows is far older than anything standing on it. Fossil Reef Park, which lies inside this community off Via Lomas, protects a limestone reef the city dates to roughly seventeen million years ago, from a time when Orange County was warm shallow ocean. The city describes fossils of large scallops, clams and tube worms in it.
The homes themselves are late twentieth century. The city counts 248 attached homes across about forty seven acres here, filed in its Aliso Hills area, with the earliest construction years on file falling in 1981. Via Lomas, the way of the hills, is the address for most of it. The community is not gated, and the park with the reef in it is open to anyone who walks up.
