How Crestline II was built
The subdividing of the Moulton Ranch began in 1950. Ross Cortese took a piece of it in 1962 and opened Leisure World in 1964, and the ordinary housing followed on the surrounding hills through the 1970s and 1980s while the area was still governed by the county. Eighty six percent of residents voted for cityhood on 5 March 1991, and Laguna Hills became a city on 20 December 1991. Crestline II is filed in the city's Aliso Hills area.
It is one of the denser communities in Laguna Hills, 372 attached homes across about thirty seven acres, which works out to roughly ten homes an acre. The street names step away from the Spanish that dominates the rest of town and go English and plain instead: Hanover, Hillsdale and Sunnyglen, with Moulton Parkway as the address for the frontage.
