How Corte Villa Condos was built
Corte Villa was built in 1991 within walking distance of the Tustin Ranch Golf Club, and its three streets, Aquasanta, Pevero and Tequestra, all carry the names of golf clubs elsewhere in the world. Somebody in the naming department was a golfer.
The club they point at is a Ted Robinson design, eighteen holes on 165 acres, and it was the centerpiece of the plan. The Irvine Company decided to build Tustin Ranch in 1982 on citrus land that had been part of the Irvine Ranch since 1864. The county approved construction in 1986, Tustin annexed the area the same year, and the whole 92782 ZIP code came into existence with it.
