How Shadowbrook Homes was built
Shadow Brook's houses were built between 1987 and 1991 and its streets are named for nations: Apache, Arapahoe, Cherokee, Comanche, Iroquois, Navajo, Pawnee, Pueblo, Seminole, Yaqui. It sits on the Tustin Ranch side of the city, on ground the Irvine Company began developing in the middle of the 1980s.
The Irvine Company decided to build a planned community here in 1982, the County of Orange approved construction in 1986, and Tustin annexed 2,257 acres that same year, creating the 92782 ZIP code. Shadow Brook was among the first neighborhoods finished on it.
