How Parkside Townhomes was built
Parkside is the only one of the twenty eight La Habra communities in this guide whose own boundary takes in part of a public park. Vin Scully Centennial Park, 13.85 acres on Las Lomas Drive with a walking loop, outdoor fitness equipment and separate large and small dog runs, runs into it, which is where the name comes from.
The 40 townhomes were laid out in April 1980 on West Lambert Road, in the middle of the stretch of years when the last grove land in central La Habra was going over to condominiums. Lambert itself is a joined up name: the La Habra and Fullerton run was Ocean Avenue and Brea's was Deodora before the pieces were pulled together.
