How Falcon Hill was built
Falcon Hill was built between 1980 and 1988, with a middle year of 1985, on the rise above Alicia Parkway while this was still county land. Eighty six percent of residents voted for cityhood on 5 March 1991, and Laguna Hills became a city on 20 December 1991. The city files it in the Alicia Creek area and records the community as gated, 88 detached homes on about thirty six acres.
The street names are the surprise. On a hillside in a city where nearly everything is Spanish, Falcon Hill went to England: Wembley, Chester, Devonport, Charlton, Avondale and Westhaven, a run of English towns and London districts. The houses are substantial for their date, a middle size of about 2,577 square feet with four bedrooms, and the city has 42 of the 93 properties down as having a private pool.
