How Vista Firenze was built
The Moulton family sold the ranch off from the early 1960s onward. Vista Firenze was built between 1987 and 1990, at the very end of the county era, and is among the last detached construction in the city before incorporation. Eighty six percent of residents voted for cityhood on 5 March 1991, and Laguna Hills became a city on 20 December 1991. The city files it in the Aliso Hills area and records it as gated.
It is a small community, 54 detached homes on about seventeen acres, at a middle size of roughly 2,026 square feet with three bedrooms. The internal streets keep the theme going in shorthand: Vista Firenze itself, plus Monte, Tierra and Via Nova, which is the new way. Views are part of the point here, and the city carries a view code on four of the sixty seven properties inside the boundary.
