Communities
Los Alamitos names its residential neighborhoods in its own General Plan. Figure 2 of the Land Use Element draws sixteen of them and numbers each one, and the Land Use Element text says the same thing in words: the city's residential areas are grouped into sixteen neighborhoods. Every community below is one of those sixteen, on the boundary the figure draws, with its acreage, addresses, parcels, build years and school district measured against it. The same figure also colors the Suburban Residential area over Rossmoor, which is unincorporated and outside the city limit, and the Joint Forces Training Base, which is not residential land and carries no neighborhood. Neither is included here.
Communities Map15 of 16 guides are published. A guide goes live only once it carries verified neighborhood data, so the rest are shown here without links rather than as empty pages.
